• Thirty years experience in the primary and middle year age groups - with 13 years at senior management level.
• Latterly Head of a large primary school (up to 900 on role) part of The British School in The Netherlands (BSN) family of schools (2000 on role and annual turnover of €24 million). 
• Executive member of the BSN Board of Management.
• Career has included working in the maintained and independent sectors in the UK, Germany (Service Children's Schools) and in the Middle East.  
• Assessor/ Mentor/Coach with The Institute of Education in London
• Inspector for the Independent Schools Inspection service.
• Helped with the opening of new schools
• Recruitment for senior leadership posts,  led cross school working parties  plus all 'standard' roles and responsibilities associated with the leadership, management and running of a large primary School with over 100 staff.
• 'Retired' member of IAPS, supporting member of COBIS, Member of the Institute of Directors,  and LCLL, Freeman of Company of Educators
• One of the founder members of a Benelux group of headteachers from British and International schools in those countries.
• Was an occasional contributor to The Sunday Times.

.......and as a parent I also have the perspective from the 'other side of the school gates.'
